Lights/Low Light Class

This class is designed to give shooters an overview of different lighting techniques and options. Topics include firearms safety (always), low-light shooting theory, light selection and designs, night sights and lasers and finally shooting techniques. The class ends with time in the range to practice what you've learned. Student should bring pen and paper for notes, a hand-held and/or weapon mounted light (if you have one), one handgun (if you have one - if not, rentals are available) and 50 rounds of ammunition. Low cut shirts and open toed shoes are not advised on the range. Class cost is $60.00. This class is open to the public.

About our instructor: Lee Smith

An avid outdoorsman who loves hiking and camping with his family, Lee owned and operated a Specialty Gun Store for over 18 years. He is a Police Officer in the state of Alabama and has been in Law Enforcement since 1998. Seven years of his Law Enforcement career was as a SWAT Team member / Sniper and eight in Mounted Police Field Operations. His training included Explosive/ Mechanical Breaching, Entry, Less than Lethal weapons and Sniper/Observer. Lee is also a NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor since 2001 and holds instructorships in Handgun, Shotgun, Carbine, Tactical Shooting and Precision Rifle. Additionally Lee participates as a Law Enforcement Rappel Master, Swiftwater Rescue Technician, Less than Lethal Instructor, Field Training Officer and Law Enforcement Armorer. In 2016 he completed the Senior & Master Officer program from the University of North Alabama. He is a member of the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors and has taught Law Enforcement Professionals in Central America.
